How does a variable speed wood/metal bandsaw do without coolant? If I get one it will mainly be cutting wood. Occasionally cut up to 1/4 plate in mild steel or Angle iron. I would not want to use coolant and have to clean up after every metal cutting session. Changing the blades and shifting the transmissions around seem like that will be enough hassle already.
I have heard of wax sticks applied to the metal cutting blade for lube.
