Milltronics MB-20A Max Feed Question
Alright, so I have been reading around here for a long time and I finally have a question that is worth a post.
The company I work for has a Milltronics bed mill, MB-20A. We use this to machine soft materials in a modelshop. Mostly REN which is a polyuerathane. I was working with the programmer today to increase the feedrate on the machine to try to speed the production of a simple part. Here is where it got wierd for me. We set the feed rate to 250 ipm in Gibbs and loaded the program. The machine only travels at a max of 100 ipm. The machine manual states that it can cut at 300 ipm. Does anyone know if there is a machine setting that will not allow it to go above 100? Even at the rate set at 250 and the knob turned to 140% it wouldn't go above 100.... Except when it did a z-axis motion, it would jump above 100 for a slight second....
Thanks in advance,
Ryan

What control?? I may be able to help. It's probably just a parameter setting.

Milltronics question
You should try *******.com . they have a Milltronics room that has a few pretty sharp guys . I agree with Schneidermachine that there is a way to change the parameter settings in the control , but you should not mess with some of these settings unless you know what you're doing . ( thats why they have the secret code to get into the setup axis parameters).
some of these settings will cause an estop , if you exceed the feed /rapid rates . Just the machines' way of protecting itself .
