A Monarch lathe with some, er, eye raising history...
I'll just let you read the ad...
Monarch Lathe
I think I would have left some of the details out, to be discrete.

" Lathe also includes a reaming tool attachment".... I'll bet it does! lol

-
I'm surprised it has no taper attachment.

"...6 to 120 inches in length, and 2 to 12 inches in diameter."
I'm feeling decidedly insignificant at the moment...

I have actually had a hand in the making of a sex toy. I made the prototype for a lesbien sexual device, it just went into production and should be on the market in the next month or so. There is a lot of r&d that goes into this stuff I was horrified and surprised at the level of testing that goes on. I declined the free sample. I had to sign a non compete agreement, it shouldnt be a problem I dont think I could go through that again.

Kevin,
You found a new market for your stakes I remember an older couple that made funny car bodies in the 1960~70's. their primary biz was making plastic "toys" for "doc Johnson"
Now as far as the lathe in question, perhaps it made tooling but, come on "billet" dildos?
Steve

"....come on "billet" dildos?"
They sell like hotcakes to the hotrod and harley crowd.

Kevin,
I hope you weren't personally testing the product LOL
After it hits the market maybe you can provide a photo or two, just for engineering studies mind you

Usually, the board requires photos, or "it didn't happen", but you haven't said if an NDA was part of the job.
The dildo story may simply be a great way to give the listing greater visibility and more eyeballs.
It works, don't you say?
There is a lot of r&d that goes into this stuff
Perhaps How It's Made should do a story.
