Buying an electrical motor for a project, got confused on how they define CW vs CCW since it really depends on which end you look at. I believe it is from the motor side looking down the shaft and CW is like an electrical drill turning a regular RH drill bit and CCW is like putting the drill on reverse. Or I may say CW is the RH rule. Am I correct? Or I get it backwards?
EDIT: Oops. I think I got it backwards. Granger tech note says rotation is viewed facing shaft end on single-shaft motors. So an electrical drill is normally turns CCW and reverse is CW!
