I have a client who has a Spin Finisher which uses a rotating drum to force parts thru abrasive media for polishing. This is a 50 hp unit so it passes alot of energy thru the parts. Problem is that the cost of the media makes the machine un economical to use. It is something like 1.50 / lb and you are suppossed to replace 10% per day. Question is, does anyone have a specific recepie for making corn cob abrasive media for this type of use. he makes other media himself but has not had time to figure this one out. I think I brought this up before a while back.
