If this is the wrong category for this, please let me know...
I need a rigging crew to move a 24"x 18' circa 1890 Wolcott and Sons lathe.
It is located in Flatonia Tx, in a ConEx box.
Weighs somewhere between 8-10,000 lbs.
I have exhausted every option I know of. The crews from Houston, Austin, San Antonio are busy, and don't want to go out there.
I need it moved about 40 miles to Giddings, Tx, and placed in my storage unit.
There's is plenty of room to load once it's out of the box.
Thanks In Advance. And again, if this needs to be moved to another category, let me know.

Have you spoken with the local towing outfit in Giddings? Get a roll back truck, back it up to conex and winch it out, might want to add some outriggers so it cannot tip.

Idea 2, go ask around at the local feedstore, they probably know who in the area could move it.

If I were to guess the weight it would be less than 10K. More like 6000-7000 for that maybe a lot less even. Old stuff like that just didn't have extra iron in it that it didn't need.

+1 for rollback. That would be a $150 move with an hours notice in my area.
