Milling fishing jig mold, need help w/ barb

Im going to try my hand a making a mold for pouring lead fishing lures, they are very simple in design but I need help with ideas for tooling and machining the barbs that hold the plastic lure bodies.

Id prefer a conical barb but I thing that is out of the question.
ideas?

I was in on making some forming dies for sheet silver one time. We made a male out of whatever they use in the EDM process & they just sunk it into the steel die with EDM. Worked sweet as could be.

years ago, had some factory molds that just had a "collar" to hold the plastic......didn't work too well.

took a dremel and just hand ground some "barbs" .

worked good. and only did one half of the mold, so i didn't have to worry about aligning both sides.
