I need some advice. I live in the UK and have been told I need Mobil DTE heavy oil (iso 100) to service a machine I have but only require a small amount. An alternative I have found is FBK Oil Ro 100 but can't find a stockest for that. Can anyone suggest an alternative.

Maybe one of these?

Any oil is better then no oil. Unless the application is critical, pick an oil that's close from a UK supplier and go with it. This aint Hollywood. Your machine won't take out a city block in a violent explosion if the oil is slightly out of spec.

Contact your local supplier and tell them you story: seeking substitue for US lubricant in very small quantities. Maybe they have an emply drun with a pint of residual oil inside.

I was just in the same boat I needed Mobil dte 24 witch is iso 32 having no mobil oil dealer in the area no more was going to order from Enco then found that dte 24 was just a hydraulic oil was able to cross over and get it genaric at local farm store at half the price and no shiping and waiting. I think what makes Mobil dte so speacil is that they cater to machine tool stores and it apears magical but in reality its just anther hydraulic oil.
