OT sort of: NMFC Freight class question.

Freightcenter.com is using Freight class 175 because they say machinery is class 175. This naturally gives high shipping prices (way higher than what I usually have gotten for shipping machinery in the past).

What freight class do you all ship under when sending machinery ? Paint sprayer, crimping machines, grinders, lathes, mills, welders etc..?

I dont see why freight class matters much. They never cover damages, they claim made up weights, they destroy everything, and they reclassify at will.

Eaton Hydraulics told me they ship Class 70 , but the agent at FreightCenter.com says she can't find such a class in her system.

The 174 freight class they are using is making shipping cost high.
