Default OT - Winter Thunder and Lightning

    Thundersnow - Wikipedia

Laying in bed last night and saw a flash outside, and thought WTF was that ,then heard and felt the thunder.
Never in all my years have I seen this rare winter weather. Strange but true.

Odd that you haven't seen Thundersnow up there in Canada eh?
Here in Michigan I've seen it a few times. It's pretty cool.

"Cool" when you are seeing it from above on a scheduled Boeing flight, cheap seats, heading for an Arctic Circle transit to Asia.

Not at all 'cool' when you are at 9,000 feet and below, right seat, Piper PA28 or Grumman AA5B, dodging cells!

First-order "pucker factor" exercise, even in summertime.
