I just recently purchased a shear, 12000#, in an auction run by Government Liquidation. This item is located at Barksdale AFB in Louisiana, apparently near Shreveport.
Government Liquidation provides no loading or shipping services for this location, and will not supply recommendations for anyone that could. I can get a truck there, no problem, but that doesn't get it loaded, so I will apparently have to bring in a crane to load this item. I know that there are other lots at this location that will require the same type of service, so was wondering if anyone has any experience in how to contact other buyers in an auction run by Government Liquidation. Crane rental would obviously be much cheaper spread across 2 or 3 or?? numbers of users.
Or is anyone here in the Shreveport area that would be able to go and load this thing for me?
I tried contacting Gov. Liq. all they could do was to refer me to the non-existent information on the website. Which may be a warning to prospective bidders in future auctions.
Rant off Dave
