    Default parkson N2 milling machine

    hi,i'm new to this forum.
i have just bought a parkson N2 universal milling machine, but there is no manuals and as i am totally new to milling i would appreciate any help i could get..
does any one out there have any photos, operators or part manuals that they could e mail me?
I do not know if everything is there for it,it has a vertical spindal fitted but the tool holder is much smaller than the horizontal one, should there be an attachment for the end of the horizontal spindle to hold a bearing when you fit a long arbor in to it?
also i was wondering if i could fit a small lathe chuck onto horizontal spindle to do light lathe work?
sorry for all the questions but as i said i am new to machining and its just a hobby!!
    kind rgds Tom...
p.s. sorry if this is in the wrong place in the forum!!
havent quite found my way round yet!!

I would expect the 2N to have a 50INT horizontal spindle and depending upon which vertical head you have it could be 40 or 50INT in it.
You have very little chance of finding an arbour support bracket for this machine.I had one of these machines over 30 years ago when Parkson were still in business and they wanted £1200 to make one then. It`s not an extremely difficult job to make a support bracket for an experienced machinist but beginners would find it daunting.
Many people have used a milling machine for turning and I`m sure a search of the various forums on PM will bring up some info.
There is a guy called Wilson Logan in Glasgow who sometimes posts here,he has a 2N also.
