I'm a beginner machinist and we need to part off 32" 6061 on our lathe. We have a partoff blade with insert (SP300 inserts) but it's an insert for steel and not sharp.
I found that for Aluminium the best insert is a very sharp one. But I can't find inserts for Aluminium (or I'm looking in the wrong places).
Any advice which inserts to use? Or maybe a complete new tool?
