The taper is A-11 but the bolt circle is wrong. Should be 3/4 holes on a 6 1/2" BC.

Don't know what brand it is. Most of the American made 4-jaws like Skinner, Cushman, etc all had back plates to keep them clean and balanced. Pratt-Burnard, Forkhardt or another European. Whatever it is, it's oddball. Just get a flat adaptor plate and machine to fit. You'll have to index the holes so they don't run into each other.

hi all, I check the measurements again, they are correct not a A-11 I printed those dimensions from multiple internet sites and compared.
The recess is only .25 deep not tapered. A real odd ball I have.

I have that exact same chuck. Mine came on a 1950's swedish engine lathe I have. I never liked it, the jaws and screws are not very hard, and mine's wore slap out. Some of the screws extend 1/2" past the chuck body now, and I had to build up the collor with weld to pull them back in and keep them from hitting the ways. You are correct, it is just a plain back, and you will need to make your own backplate. but I don't think it would be worth it, give it to a farmer and buy a good one on ebay.

When I was using mine, it would take me 5 or 6 minuts to dial a part in to about .002, now that I use a 12" cushman, it takes me 20 seconds to dial in to .0005

Just my 2c!
