I bought 2 Mikron 102 hobbing machines with some tooling
With it came some castings with a worm and 4 wormwheels
It intriged me as I have no idea what it is used for
Cast in are the words Buser Inca and on one the #3763
A google search did not reveal anything
We thought a kind of differential or reduction gearbox
Also why does it have the 2 flats and hole on the wormwheels
Some pics

No idea, but it's definitely NOT anything Turboencabulator.

Well, that's obvious! The shafts are no way big enough for the spurving bearings and you need 5 gears to drive the pentametric fan. Geez!

I thought that it might be Zastava's attempt at a cheaper version of the GE model. Maybe they found some smaller spurving bearings and got the bugs out of a quadametric fan??

Now you mention it JR, that thought has some possibilities, ......the problem is that after Zastava ended up with gonads bigger than his head, you know who shut it all down, and we don't mess with them do we? ......well that's what I was told at the time.

Oh well onward and upward.

My thought when seeing this is that it is the tool the phone company uses to spin a wire around a large cable and its supporting guy wire.
