I watched the video of it that was linked in another post. I thought it looks pretty cool and started reading the comments.
Lots of comments involved the $5000 price tag being too high. If I convert that to my currency you will get a pretty damn decent 3D printer in that price range so I don't think it is too badly priced as a desktop "toy" I guess. I'd love to play with something like that but I think eventually I would get bored.
Maybe for an educational tool for training? Even then I am not too sure if it will help loads in real world experience but I could be way off there.
