Backlash shims for Bridgeport lead screw?

Where can I obtain an assortment of shims made to fit the lead screws of a Bridgeport mill? I'm starting to reassemble my mill and it's now obvious to me
that the shims that were originally in it (it's a BP clone with retrofitted ball screws) weren't right for minimal backlash.

The ball screws have no backlash that I've yet been able to measure. There is
system backlash but it can all be corrected by the use of the right shims,
which is what I'm looking for.

I'll need an assortment of suitable shims, in every type used on a BP and in
a variety of sizes.

I am sure others will help to clear this up but most ball screws back lash is resolved with the size of the balls preloading the screw.

you need to check the lead screw end play at the brackets on the end of the table some times the bearing get a little worn or loose in end brackets and what you think is end play in the screw is not , 1 end bracket has 2 bearing for backlash removal the other end has 1 bearing that floats

There is no play or backlash in the ball screw assembly itself. It's freshly rebuilt.
You can completely ignore that possibility.

All I need (I think) are just the right shims to fill the spacing between the shoulder of the screw and the bearings in the front mount assembly.
