    Default Rathbone lathe

Any of you guys familiar with a Rathbone lathe? I had never heard of one until today when I got a call from a guy out of the blue asking if I want to buy his. It sounds like a sweet little machine. He says its about 8-9 inch swing with about 24 inches between centers but it has a turret mounted on the rear. It is variable speed drive with a geared head and from the way he described it it sounds like it has infinitely variable feed. I did a google search and could not come up with an image but I am going to take a look at it tomorrow. If any of you guys have experience with them I would sure like to hear from you. I'm not really in the market for another lathe but this is surely Divine Providence.

Reminds me of a Hardinge Chucker.

Got many little parts to make all the same?

I have seen a few on ebay in the last two years or so. They were made right in nearby Nashua New Hampshire.
