I recently purchase a milling Machine and know it's time to get something to hold my end mills etc with (the Jacobs chuck works for small cutters but is no good for anything larger than about 8mm)

spindle of machine is 3 morse taper with 1/2 " draw bars

I am looking at either 3mt collets or a Er32 collet chuck and collets.

what are ppl thought any thing esle I should be looking at, I'm trying to get out off this as cheaply as possible as the heat hasnt subsided yet from the mill purchase, if you know what I mean

Jacobs chucks aren't really suitable for any size of cutter, not accurate enough and the cutter can climb out too easily. The ER collets would be best, and you can hold drills too. If you find a Jacobs OK for small sizes, an ER will be luxury, plenty on eBay, probably Chinese but good enough.

I needed a set of #3 morse taper collets for a grinding fixture, I found the ones I got from "thelittlemachineshop.com" to be well made and accurate. The set of 11 collets 1/8" to 3/4" by 16ths was around $100.00, you can get sets by 1/8ths or single collets.
