I just got a Sellers Model 2B drill grinder. Made in 1938 according to the tag on it from the GE plant. The 2" wide flat leather belt is stretched out, so I need to shorten it.
I don't see anywhere to adjust the belt tension on it. The motor is fixed in place inside the pedestal and the spindle is fixed.
Does anyone have experience with setting up the belt on these? How do I determine proper tension? It seems like it would be hit & miss to get it right through the length alone.
I've looked on line for manuals and found none for this one. I sent an email to Farmington Manufacturing last week, but no response yet. If anyone knowe where I can find a manual, that'd be great too.
thanks
