ID of carbide insert this tool uses

A friend of mine has this internal threading bar that neither of can ID what insert it uses.Made by Valenite and the rest of the ID info is mostly unreadable.I can make out what looks to be "GTB" rest is obliterated, insert looks like 5/16 inscribed circle.Any help much appreciated.

Not a chance as those mount horizontally ,look at the bar these mount vertically. ODDball for sure I think!

It looks like an internal threading/grooving bar. Like John Evans said the insert does resemble a TNMC, but not quite. With the IC being about 5/16", I would guess it is really 8mm. Probably from a European maker. I think I have seen similar inserts from PH Horn.

I'm saying internal threading tool also. Probably special insert just for a small size range of threads. Since Walter owns Valenite, good luck.

Yep I said internal threading bar ! LOL My friend had no luck researching on Walter/Valenite's site. Kinda like some Komet stuff I have proprietary and obsolete!!
