I have a 6" Atlas/Craftsman Mark I Lathe that was my grandfathers that he had since the late 50's. It has been passed down to me and I plan on giving it a good once over and using it around the house. It has very little time on it and is in great shape, and needs very little TLC.
It is just like this:
Craftsman 6-inch Mk.1 Lathe
I know this website is for more serious and heavy duty stuff, but wanted to see if anybody could direct me to a good website/forum that could help me out on this lathe with technical data, manuals, parts, etc?
For learning skills and questions on how to do actual machining I'll stay put on this website. It seems like a great group of people eager to help. I have some experience from my time as an engine shop machinist while working myself through college, but I'm pretty limited on my turning experience.
Thanks again for the help and info.
