I was wondering, short of the $120+ spindle mate, or 3D printing one. Are there any R8 Spindle Socket wipers around that get to the top of the socket?
Just recently unstuck a spun R8 collet in the mill and after getting it out, checked the socket with a bore-o-scope looking for damage, and noticed a bunch of small chips at top of the socket. The wipers I can find (other than the spindlemate) only seem to clean the taper and not the full socket. Also would rather not have the guys sticking a rag on a stick (for obvious reasons) up there when changing collets.
