i need stainless swarf!

i realize this is likely an odd request, i am looking for some
curly swarf about the consistancy of a pot scrubber and a 5 gallon
pail in volume of stainless steel.

it is for a prototype diesel particulate filter i am working on, and i have no clue as to who might have some of this laying about in my area.

so if you have a shop in the seattle/tacoma/olympia area, and have some i can get my hands on let me know.

i would be willing to pay scrap rates for it, or maybe a bit better for nice consistant stuff that doesn't have alot of other crap mixed in.. coolant and oil is ok.

I had quite a bit that was just hauled off to scrap a week ago! Would have filled several 5 gallon pales.

If I turn anymore, I will be sure to seperate it and hold onto it for 1 week longer!

coffee can would be plenty.

If this was my project I would start by calling Schneider Simpson. Nice folks. They do sheet metal and machining and they are on S. Tacoma Way.

For a quick and easy supply, where the SS ribbons are of uniform thickness and width, try pot scrubbers. Can be found in the dollar store, three or four to a pack.
