Got a job to drill 1.2mm thru 3/4 wall 6061 alum tubing.
I will be doing this in a dm4800 machining center 6000 rpm spindle
I wil run at full speed. It works out to around 70 sfm. Using standard jobber length drills.
spotting drill first, Then peck 1 drill dia. thru the 3/4 wall. .001 feed per rev. flood coolent.
Anyone see any potential problems? there is only 1 hole per tube but the tube is already finished machined.
