I am trying to find a solution to a work holding problem. I am looking for a tool that incorporates a MT3 taper and a live collet holder. I am trying to hold onto a cylindrical part for support while performing a 4th axis operation. I am unable to use a conventional live center.

Any help would be great

I've seen live 3-jaw chucks for tailstock use, but not a collet receiver. However, I'm a manual shop and have no idea what might be available in the cnc world.

If this is a slow rotation, and a small diameter, low volume, just get a blank morse taper and drill and bore a precision hole. Slather on some center lube. Edwin Dirnbeck

Sounds like a pick off on a swiss or other automatic/cnc lathe

Only, your not driving it with the tailstock.
