I came across a Radius & Angle Dresser online while shopping for an indexer/dividing rotary table, and am curious if anyone has used the dresser to index a gear for machining.
It seemed like one could use it as an indexer if you added some mounting method. It has a vernier scale that allows more precise measurement than a spin index.

The generally accepted method is a dividing head. Even with the vernier the radius/angle dresser will not be accurate enought for all but the least critical application.
