Wanted source for small steel pins.
I am in need of a new source for small steel pins.
I need about 1,000 3/32X1/2 steel pins. I can find lots of sources for
stainless pins, but this customer is requesting steel pins. The application requires
steel pins as they will be finished with black oxide. This may turn into an ongoing project where I will need more.
Thanks guys,

If you want hardened steel pins with no head, they are called dowel pins and you can get them with a black finish in two different diameters, nominal and slightly oversize.
If you want pins with heads and points, they are called steel escutcheon pins.

I like the Olander Company. They are local for me.

Haven't dealt with them, but:

They have dowel pins and slightly cheaper "shear pins".
