I need some help finding a replacement crank for a Minster No: 6 OBI S/N: 6-5064, 6" inch stroke. I hope someone can me a direction to go in, because Minster can't make the crank without updating the clutch and control system for 60,000 dollars.

you can ask these people

What clutch does it have? Is it a mechanical? if so I wouldnt fix it, just replace it, it will be cheaper. Perhaps buy a similar press and use the parts? Your press is quite old 1940's vintage?

It might not be a bad idea to upgrade the controls also. They can be had for a reasonable price.

Your probably better off buying a decent used press today, prices have come way down on them, pennies on the dollar of where they were.

Buy another one used punch presses are a dime a dozen these days. Someone hauled two 400 ton punch presses this summer. There is a nice 40 ton punch press at the scrap yard now. I see punch presses at the scrap yard all the time. Most of the use machinery dealers have gone out of business around here.

It just like this one, except without air clutch:

That's exactly what we did a few years ago when the crank broke on a Clearing press. Bought another one for parts. It has come in handy a few times since then. We dismantled the parts machine, scrapped the frame and stored the usable parts.
