Newall C80

Hi All, I'm new to this site and hope you can help me out. I have a Newall C80 DRO and the Y-axis says "no signal". I have switched the encoder leads and the problem stays with the Y-axis display which tells me the encoders are OK. I have tried resetting the parameters and that does not work either. I have heard that these units have some relays or resistors that burn out and can be replaced. I would like to know if anyone has any troubleshooting experience with these units.

You can send the unit back to Newall and they will repair it.

FWIW the encoders are compatible with later display units and there are adapters available for round din-like connectors to the db9 ones, depending on which you have. Also, there is an import knockoff (Depp brand, takes some googling to find) that seems to function identically, at least for me
