ive got to send out a lot of parts for carburize, but i have a few i want to mark so that i can tell the differance without sorting through them all when they come back...i dont want to engrave anything into them, was hoping there was a super man marker that would come to my rescue. where can i find said superman marker?

thank you in advance

All you need is something that won't mind 1700 F for 8 hours - like a weld bead

it cant be permanent, i dont want to have a grind mark, and there is a minimum effective case depth of .58mm+/-.1mm
i thought about those steel tags but they will essentially mask a small portion of the part...

i was hoping to use a marker so that after tumbling you wouldnt be able to see anything...

I don't know if it will stand up for this many hours, but white out stands up to heating to forging temperatures a couple of times The white out pens are good for writing with.
