Default What tool can use an 11" vise?

I put some bids in on some older vises in an online surplus auction. No real descriptions and the pics didn't have much to show scale. Got a Bridgeport and a Wilton and some great behemoth of a vice with 11" jaws and will probably spread to 11". Way more than I imagined and much too large for anything I have ever seen. What machine can use this?

Debating about holding on to it just to bolt to the worktable. This thing would certainly clamp a cylinder head and probably most smaller blocks! It swivels as well.

Plenty of shapers around without their proper vices. And it's all your fault!
Seriously, if you don't need it you would be doing a good deed by selling it to a shaper guy.

I thought a shaper vise was different in that it pulled toward the fixed jaw? I have a smaller 8" shaper that came without a vise and I use a milling machine vise on it. This is just like a normal milling vise but bigger. It is large enough that the handle end of the vise is off the swivel plate and has feet to rest on the table.

Not opposed to selling it but honestly, shipping in and out of Arkansas ain't cheap! You guys in the rustbelt usually get all the good old iron.

I would think it would be good on any machine for machining longer parts that you do not want hanging out of the vise very far. It would be easier to set up than multiple vises.

Jaws are 11" wide. Hold downs are about 14" apart. Legs on the back are another 14" away. So the smallest table dimension has to be at least 14" and more likely 16".

If it's got four bolt holes, it's very likely a shaper vise.

Our mill table is about 24" x 44". Sounds usable to me...
