Default 40+ guns sold at Auction Saturday.

I went to an auction Saturday the seller was a medical doctor and he had an unbelievable collection of military guns in mint condition. He also had a 1998 GMC Yukon in like brand new condition with 4500 original miles. The 1998 Red Chevy Pickup truck had 4700 original miles. There was an M1 Grand, two M1 30 caliber carbines, two 1917 03A 30-06 rifles, several WWII 45 automatics pistols, several German WWII rifles and pistols, long barrel and short barrel German Lugers. All WWII stuff in the best condition I have ever seen. I was totally freaked out I have never seen guns in such good condition. All total there were probably 40 or 50 guns. The guns sold at 11:30 am. It was 10 am and I just happen to be driving by so I stopped to check it out. I absolutely HATE auctions you have to way around all day for the item you want to sell then people will bid more than it cost to buy the item brand new. I left and never looked back. I would have paid $1500 for that M1 Grand and $1000 for that 30-06 rifle. I bet they sold for more than that.

Welcome to the world of auctions.

I have never been to an auction where some dumb SOB paid more for something than it costed new, at least once. It ruins it for a lot of folks but some of us just laugh , sometimes to there faces.

I laughed at a guy who paid $35 for a set of chinese transfer punches,(USED). Of course He wasn't happy being laughed at, but guys were on him like a pack of dogs snicking and the like.

Anyway, some will buy from an auction because there is no Yellow sheet at a residential auction of personal items.
