Tactical Machining is not the outfit that got busted, or I believe it was caught up in some sort of payment for contracts type thing.

T/M is however according to a friend of mine that has talked to them acouple times this past week in the process of moving their operation to a larger facility. Hopefully once moved and back into the full swing of things they will get caught up and stay that way.

As far as price if you buy the 308 lowers in the kit that includes the two lowers and the holding jig the price comes out to right about what has been offered here, and no waiting till someone finally gets around to making them.

I don't mean to veer off the subject here, but I do have a question.
    I own a Rock River Arms LAR-8 which is a 308 caliber.
Rock River AR-15 parts will interchange (barrels etc) but the LAR-8 will not. Why is that?

My guess is the manufacturers of the various AR-10 derivatives intentionally make their pieces different so that people will have to come back to the original maker for new or replacement parts. Since the US gov't has just started ordering this type of rifle, there hasn't been a central buyer with the clout to demand standardization.

    OK gentlemen-
You wanted to know when these were available-
Colfax Tactical now has the LR 308 (DPMS Patterened) 80%'ers in stock. (NOT ARMALITE Patterned)
They are going fast but will have more in June if you are too slow.
Talk to Larry or Karen. Great people. A California Company.
    Tell them "Duke" referred you.

I have NO business association with Colfax Tactical. They are just good people I am trying to help in these hard times.
