I'll keep this short. I have an older remmington .22 pump rifle that is missing the bolt to hold the stock on. I was wondering if anyone knew off hand what the thread size was, as it doesnt seem to be a standard (approx 1/4"). I could figure it out if I had more than 6 minutes of free time while Im home. If anyone knows great, if not I will just wait until I have the time to measure it.
Thanks, Eric

thread

I have tried a 1/4-28 before, but I was wondering if it was 1/4-24 possibly, or a completely off the wall proprietory thread. I will give the 1/4-28 another try, and make sure that the threads are not distorted at the opening. It is possible, considering that my cousin-in-law broke the stock over a goose's head.
I appreciate your help, and time. Thanks, EO

thread size found, fyi

I made a few different sized samples, and the winner was 12-24. Just thought I would throw that out there if anyone was wondering.
