Perk, you need to check out the article on barrel making by Geoff Colby at borderbarrels.com. Details the process of cut rifling very well. The details of the rifling heads in Howe's book are more complicated than you need to accomplish the type of rifling that you are attempting to do.

"Do you have the book "The Modern Gunsmith" by Howe ?? It shows how to make the cutter box, the cutter, the bore reamers, the chambering reamers, etc."

I would like a source for this book too.

This article by Geoffrey Kolbe used to be posted on the Border Barrels site. It doesn't seem to be there any longer.

Howe's "The Modern Gunsmith" is available here free online along with many other publications pertaining to firearms. Lots of great reading!
