A long while back, there were some questions on the barrel tenon spec for a Kimber 84 around here.

Well, I just had one (Model 84M, in .257 Roberts) come through my shop, so here's the dope:

0.839 across the top of the threads, 0.840 for the 0.090 shoulder at the front of the threads. The whole tenon is 0.900" or so long, 20 TPI. There was no thread relief - the threads were cut right up to the 0.840" diameter shoulder. The breech was coned, with an extractor cut.

They're an elegant little rifle, with a Mauser/Mod70 claw extractor, and a Model 70-style swing safety. Trigger was very nicely done. Very light - maybe a tad under 6 lbs. I'd reckon if it were chambered in a round that could accept heavier bullets. it could set your teeth on edge to shoot it for more than 20 rounds at a time.
