Hello Gentlemen,
I'm working on a Mossberg 810 bolt action and want to change the ugly bolt handle. I believe its silversoldered to the bolt body. Its very close to the cocking cam. Has anyone had any experience removing and soldering or welding on a new handle? The Rem 700 bolt would be somewhat the same I think. Just wondered if any one has any advice to give me before I tackle this job. Heat sinks and heat control paste are in order Im sure. Any thing else I should know? Any advice or tricks/techniques that have worked for you in the past would be greatly welcome.
