Need suggestions for ammo model 94 32 Win SPCL.

My son received this from his Grandpa on his 1st or 2nd birthday. He is 16 now and wants to shoot it. Nobody around carries ammo.
I'll google later, but thought I'd float it to the pros first. Supper's ready

Looking at the SAAMI drawings, it appears that .32 Win Spec is the .30-30 Win necked up to .32 cal. So you could use .30-30 brass and expand the necks and go from there. Of course, this presupposes you will be handloading.

However, a check of Midway shows four different types of loaded .32 Special available so you could mail order factory ammo if you like. They aren't showing any brass.

32 Winchester Special is still very easy to get in new manufacture ammo. The Old Western Scrounger stocks it in 170 grain at $30.00 per box. There are numerous other custom makers that still offer it but I find OWS is the most reliable when you need it quick. Remington, Winchester, Federal and Hornady all make it.

Now that is an interesting web site. Never gave much thought about "authentic" ammo.

They have some PH 98 raw body castings. One of my nuttier pals got a couple of those a few years back from some one and machined them to 700 bolts and triggers. They turned out rather nice even though he had about $1,000 parts and labor into them by the time he was done. Maybe more.
