I'm sure he won't be the only bad boy in Texas with a full auto.
Hey, but at least Red Jacket hired a guy that actually appears to know how to run the Haas. I thought the hardware they built for the BAR lacked cool but maybe when they get it engraved it will be better.
The friction bringing Vince back for the build really sucked though and it didn't help to have Stephanie and Jesse messing around on his bike.
Next week a 40mm Bofors, I'll be there.

I gotta agree with this comment. Unfortunately, its kinda human nature to sell-out for money. Happens everyday in all aspects of life. I understand the argument that they're "giving smithing a bad name", bla bla bla - but then every other cheesy show (and movie) gives cops, doctors, bakers, chefs, etc... bad names as well, don't they? People are too quick to sit back and shoot something full of holes as if it were "real" - rather than realize what it really is...
Fellas, NO trade or job is safe from the (low-quality TV) that our country's "watchers" will accept, period.
Both these shops (Red Jack & Gunsmoke) most likely have skilled workers who turn out quality products. I suspect the only things these companies may be guilty of is "selling out", "bad-acting", or over-charging (due to their fame).

I have heard that Red Jacket has a complete modern manufacturing facility off site of the "TV-shop". The show is entertainment, and I for one find it entertaining.

You must be easily entertained.

Just had to comment on this. Having a reality show does not prove any skill or how good your company is. If anything, reality shows prefer the less professional and less skilled people. They are the people with more drama.
Example: I know a young man who went down to the states to custom harvest. He did it, made money, but it was a non-stop gong show. Some producers wanting to make a show about custom harvesters started hearing about him from other companies. Not because his company was amazing and worked, but because he didn't know what he was doing and had nothing but reality show style screw ups.
I would have watched a show about him though, his stories are amazing. Like the time they lost the camper. Flew home to Canada for a weekend, couldn't remember what small US town they left the camper in.
