The 30" x might be a wee bit short for longer work pieces and multiple fixtures especially for stock work.
Might want a longer x for fluting barrels at some point too (and the 4th axis)

The haas's are nice to program and pretty straight forward in operation if you are new to cnc.
I would suggest the optional tool changer as that would really speed up any process.
the TM-2 looks pretty nice, alot like a mori mv junior
