Does anybody know what alloy this is close to?
Have a project involving a bit of cosmetic welding, trying to decide on a rod choice.
Looked online and didn't find anything.
This is on a 1983 vintage Security Six.
Thanks
David

I have always used 410 TIG rod on stainless guns. The 300 series rods seem to make a yellowish weld. I don't think Ruger has ever made public exactly whats in Terhune Anticorro. Its probably just 410 and they toss in some eye of newt and hair of toad. But who knows. It has to be GREAT though because Ruger patented the name.
