Thanks, I appreciate that!

I prefer to sell the lot in one package if I can. This is a very good deal for an aspiring gunsmith.

+1

Probably $5000 to buy all that today, maybe more.

The problem is that there are only 4 usable reamers in the whole lot. I went through the same thing when I sold all of my wildcat reamers. I averaged $10 each and most had only been used once. I make the customers buy the reamers now. They don't like that to much but what can you do? You just can't have 100 reamers at $160 each sitting in inventory with no hope or expectation of ever using them again.

30 years ago if you had a collection of 40 or 50 reamers you pretty much had every commercial cartridge, all the common wildcats and you were assured of getting a lot of use out of the reamers. Now days, there are a dozen new cartridges a year and they pass just as quickly. Even getting second use out of a reamer is pretty thin. On top of that in the past it was possible to install a custom barrel for much less than a new gun. Now days it has become far cheaper to simply buy a new gun and there are so many new and weird calibers out there that its really hard to offer the average shooter anything any better than you can buy over the counter.

Lot up for Auction

I put the lot up for auction over at EBAY in case anyone's interested. Under Chamber Reamers. Starting bid is $800.00 postage paid.
