I keep getting this error code at power up.
"261 ROTARY CRC ERROR"

Has anybody else had to deal with this?

The error clears with reset and the machine runs fine.

Thanks,

Doug

This is on a MINIMILL
Has anyone else gotten this alarm?
I've never had a rotary table attached to this machine, but started getting this alarm at powerup.

Wow, out of the hundreds of error codes I have memorized, just so i can help others here, I don't recall this particular code.

Sorry

There is a Google CUSTOM SEARCH window here on *******. Did it not occur to you to do a search and see if this topic has been covered previously. If not then you could go to the Haas website and find out what a Rotary CRC error is then start a thread asking questions.

261 Rotary CRC error. Rotary table saved parameters( used by setting 30,78 ) have a CRC error. Indicates a loss of memory and possible prcessor board problem.

Go to SETTING 7 and turn it to off
Press E-STOP
Go to PARAMETERS
Find parameter 43 Bit 0. (REV ENCODER)
Toggle this bit from 1 to 0, or 0 to 1. Just depends on what it is currently set at.

Turn the machine off.
Power back on.
Go to parameter 43 bit 0 and put it back to what it originally was.

Turn machine off.
Power back on and hopefully you should not get the Rotary CRC error any more.

Hope this helps.

Just to note, this is just a software glitch and has nothing to do with the encoder. You can toggle any A-Axis parameter and get the same results, I just picked 43 is all.
