    guy smoked tool changer at small shop today, any ideas how i can quickly check spindle ok?? easiest would be turn it on and see if load meter looks crazy but im worried about concentricity?? i dont have many tools available,.001 indicator and maybe a turned part on lathe??

    Sweep the head with your indicator, just like on a Bridgeport....only you don't get to loosen the bolts and crank it in quite so easy.

    The manual details how to check the machine for squareness, etc. I suggest you become intimate with the manual, it would likely help answer a lot of the questions you have.
