1991 Haas Vf-1. Having issues downloading programs via the rs232 cable.. "this machine didn't come with the crappie floppie reader, else i'm pretty sure i'd have other issues" The problem:
I'll program a part off line, afterwhich will save the program to a thumb drive and sneaker net it to another laptop i have setting by the Haas. and it's wired to the Haas via the rs232 cable. Set the haas to recieve all programs. open up hyperterminal, locate the program to send. as soon as i hit send I get an alarm on the Haas controler. I'll clear out the alarm, hit program recieve "ALL". and repeat the process with hyperterminal, send text and the program downloads just fine..
Don't remember the alarm.. i'll note it when i get back to the shop..
It acts like i have to attempt to send first to wake it up.
Could it be cabling. or do i not have hyperterminal set right?
