That makes sense, seeing as memory is becoming so much more expensive
Still dont understand why you cant use off the shelf memory sticks for a controller...or any other part for that matter.

Are you sure? Sure for that specific chip in the Haas?
They seem to have SRAM. No big deal, they are used in most of the portables. But that size, that pinout and that grid is getting obsolete. And thus the price will increase.
