Okay.... I'm sick of getting on my knees and jogging the Z axis until my grease gun fits between the frame members to lube the Z Ball Nut. :willy_nilly: Has anyone come with a better way to lube the dam thing?

Please help!

Thanks Athack

OK..I removed the zerk and was going to put an extended grease line on it.
But I found that the zerk appeared to be a metric thread.
Not wanting to screw up the threads in the nut or bastardize it, I made an adapter fitting from that thread to 1/8” NPT.
Then I ran a grease line up to a bracket on the back of the guard that travels with the carriage.
Now I can grease it while standing behind the machine.:D
I will try to post a picture when I go back to work next week.

I just used a standard long grease gun hose. I welded a 1/8"NPT pipe coupling to my bracket and adapted from the zerk threads to NPT on the nut end. Nothing special accept for the little adapter that threads into the nut!
