    Question VF2 alarm 120?

    hi guys.
    i have a VF2 SS
I'm getting an alarm code 120: low air pressure... have checked the lines and hear a small leak at the spindle...

any suggestions on how to fix?

    thanks! - Deanna

Spindle has positive air pressure to keep contaminants out. A slight leak in normal. I'd check your line pressure into the machine, check air filters too.

I have had a switch or two die over the years, the worst one was a bad wire in the flex conduit from the headstock to the rear cabinet. The easiest is make darn sure you have enough air, once sure you can pull the top fan off the headstock on some of them so you can teach down and check the switch, it is on top of the spindle tward the back and looks like any small pressure sender you might find on a car or whatever. Some you have to pull the headstock cover, if you do be very carefull of the button for the tool release, it is in the way and easy to break. could be as simple as a loose connection at the switch, vibration and all.
