Vise for TM1p

Hi,
I have a TM1p on order and was wondering what vises people are using on these machines? In watching one of the Haas tip of the day videos Terry said to watch the clearance at the doors when at Y0 using a D688 Kurt. He said a D675 wouldn't fit due to the nut extending out the back and the potential to hit the back of the machine. I understand there's a setting on the control to limit Y axis travel but I would prefer to not have to use this. I would like to use a 6" vise and am not set on any particular brand; however, price is a consideration to some degree. The DX6 is the new model that replaced the D688 which is .482" shorter.
In looking online I've found these examples with total length
DX6 - 18.258"
D688 - 18.74"
Teco PWS-6900 - 19.376"
Glacern GSV-690 - 19.25"
Glacern GPV-615 - 16.88"
Glacern GSV-550 - 16.30" 5" vise
Orange OV6-SS4 - 16" or 17.5", very nice but ~3 times the price of the others

The Glacern premium model GPV-615 seems to be the one in the list above. Anyone have any other recommendations or insight? I saw on one forum where a guy used a D688 but had to cut ~.75 off the hex for door clearance.

I currently have 3 Bridgeport vises that use on my manual machine. The TM1p is my introduction to CNC.

Thanks

I use a Kurt D688, I just shortened the hex to clear the doors! I think I took about .625 off?
I have two Chick One-lok vises waiting to be setup.
